This website is meant to provide an introduction of the essence of Film Tourism and what it can mean to business, culture, education, destinations and the film industry in Kristiansand and the South of Norway.
SØRNORSK FILMSENTER
With an area of operation covering the counties of Vestfold and Telemark in addition to Agder, Sørnnorsk Filmsenter supports activities of professional filmmakers, producers, game developers and screenwriters who live here. Filmmakers who live outside these counties can apply, if the theme/filming takes place in these counties.
SUPPORT
Included in the areas of support including development and production of short and documentary films as well as games in the early phase, skills development as well as support for travel and course participation. Grants can also be given for script development fiction over 70 min.
Projects with regional roots are prioritized first – in cases where the producer, director and screenwriter live and work in the region. There are three application deadlines a year. Sørnnorsk Filmsenter also supports regional talent development and various film-related initiatives aimed at children and young people.
Sørnnorsk Filmsenter AS is owned in equal parts by the counties of Agder in addition to Vestfold and Telemark as well as the Municipality of Kristiansand.
